My GSXR 1000 K5

Just realised I haven’t actually posted up pictures of my new purchase this year!!
Here is my new GSXR 1000 K5, got her in March at a bargain price!

Since getting her I have fitted a Zero Gravity double bubble screen, miles better than the standard screen or the official Suzuki double bubble, but I still get some wind buffeting, I am tall though so tempted to get the Zero Gravity Touring screen…

Also fitted my Quill Tri Oval exhaust from my old K4 750, sound nice and racey again, but the Quill has seen better days so thinking over the winter sending it back to quill to get serviced, cut down and converted to a slip on.

Other mods include new KS Performance air filter, CRG Shorty Levers, PC3, SBS Sintered brake pads and recently fitted HEL carbon look braided line Front & Back

Plenty of other mods planned, swapping to R1 Calipers or maybe some monoblocs from the latest GSXR or Blade, Brembo RCS Master Cylinder, Adjustable Rearsets, maybe complete Bazzaz System too.

New Bicycle :D

Got this sexy thing on the Cycle 2 Work scheme!
It’s a Specialized Rockhopper Comp SL 2011 and its so nice to ride, gear changes are smooth! I don’t really like riding on the road so I take the river route home, roughly 7 miles of rough path or decent footpath, will upload a video of the route sometime.
No real plans for it yet, need some small mudguards as I don’t fancy getting covered in mud all the time, changed the pedal to some dual ones with SPD’s on one side.

SV Updates Aug 2011

Ok so got the Carbs rebuilt, everything plugged back in, press the start and chug-chug-chug…. nothing 🙁 after a bit of diagnosis turns out it’s not getting any fuel, the regulator thing has bust, second-hand one sourced on eBay, installed and she starts! 😀 there is a slight fuel leak which looks like it’s coming from the tap, so got a second-hand one of those cheap on eBay too!

Plan for this weekend is to sort the fuel leak, sync the carbs with this new digital sync! get it running as good as possible before sending it off to a dyno garage to get her fueled properly!

SV Updates July 2011

A few updates this month, got the Carb’s off and mostly rebuilt, installed the Dynojet stage 1 & 3 which involves big Jets and some messing about with the needles and drilling of the slides :p also got some K&N individual air filters, hopefully they will do the job if not will look at alternatives.
Removed most of the back-end too, with the intention of either cutting the subframe down and making my own mounts for ECU etc, or I buy a lightweight race subframe if I can find one at a decent price.

Sorry for the rubbish iPhone pictures, will get some with a good camera soon!20110803-043118.jpg

SV Overhaul

Some photos of the SV progress!

Got the K1 GSXR Forks on, rebuilt the Tokico Calipers and got them fitted and reused the SV Goodridge Braided lines.

Next up is sorting the Carbs, got two sets so can mix and match depending on condition, also got Stage 1 & 2 Dynojet kit so that will be installed too!
